Morlet-wave-based modal identification in the time domain

چکیده
This research focuses on the time-domain identification of modal parameters using impact response excitation from signals with a relatively small dynamic range and high noise contamination (e.g., high-speed cameras). The information required to identify is limited contained mostly at beginning signal. In order perform an such response, following challenges have be overcome: good frequency-domain separation (for close modes), localization in time domain over-determination (to reduce uncertainty). To overcome these this introduces Morlet-wave method as extension damping method, which has already proven capable identifying short signals. Here, extended approach proposed uncertainty. identifies each mode shape separately 10 maximum 400 oscillations levels 0.02% 2% strong presence tested experimental example results are compared classical methodology.

DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION IN STRUCTURES USING TIME DOMAIN RESPONSES BASED ON DIFFERENTIAL EVOLUTION ALGORITHM
An effective method utilizing the differential evolution algorithm (DEA) as an optimisation solver is suggested here to detect the location and extent of single and multiple damages in structural systems using time domain response method. Changes in acceleration response of structure are considered as a criterion for damage occurrence. The acceleration of structures is obtained using Newmark me...
متن کاملGravitational Wave Signal identification and transformations in time-frequency domain
A gravitational wave signal carries information about an astrophysical source, a time varying quantity that has to be analyzed in the time frequency domain. There are varieties of transforms that can be applied to understand the complex evolution time-varying frequencies and chirps. This paper discusses various techniques of transforms that can be applied to various categories of this problem t...
متن کاملWave localization characteristics in the time domain.
We present an analytical solution to the problem of pulse backscattering from a randomly stratified half-space. It is shown that the power spectrum p for the backscattered wave is characterized by a function of I, where X=(distance traveled by the pulse at time r)/(the frequency-dependent localization length). For the matched-impedance and the total-reflection boundary conditions, p is given by...
متن کاملMixed Time/Frequency-Domain Based Robust Identification
A new robust identification framework that incorporates both time and frequency domain data is proposed. ¹his framework avoids situations where a good data fit in one domain leads to poor fitting in the other. Abstract—In this paper we propose a new robust identification framework that combines both frequency and time-domain experimental data. The main result of the paper shows that the problem...
متن کاملNewborn EEG Seizure Detection Based on Interspike Space Distribution in the Time-Frequency Domain
This paper presents a new time-frequency based EEG seizure detection method. This method uses the distribution of interspike intervals as a criterion for discriminating between seizure and nonseizure activities. To detect spikes in the EEG, the signal is mapped into the time-frequency domain. The high instantaneous energy of spikes is reflected as a localized energy in time-frequency domain. Hi...
